ABOUT
Meet Barbara
A highly esteemed trainer and facilitator, and an inspirational ‘thought leader’ in her field, Barbara has over 15 years’ experience in changing the culture of mental health at all levels of society. She spent 5 years as the lead of the national stigma reduction programme, See Change which housed the iconic ‘Green Ribbon’ campaign.
Barbara has been a driving force for change, providing guidance on mental health to influential policy bodies like the National Office for Suicide Prevention, Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, Mental Health Commission, numerous major corporations and has lectured in top Irish universities inspiring people to think differently about mental health and wellbeing.
Barbara now runs her own workplace mental health consultancy business, and guides organisations on policy and procedures, staff awareness campaigns and mental health champion frameworks, and is an official Mental Health First Aid instructor.
She has been awarded the Honorary ‘Outstanding Contribution to Wellbeing' award 2024 by Ibec and The KeepWell Mark for her work.
